"We visited Le Petit Carron for a New Year’s dinner. The restaurant is within a 5-10 minute walk of a couple of Metro stations and is in an area with a lot of residential apartments and small grocery stores. The restaurant itself is not large but it is cosy and welcoming and has a well-presented décor. There were some people who had issues with bookings as they did not appear in the booking system of the restaurant, and had to be turned away due to the restaurant being fully booked – I would recommend booking directly with the restaurant rather than using a third-party, as it sounded like this may have been the cause of this issue. The wait staff were very welcoming and attentive and did well to attend to everyone on this very busy night. The food was from a set menu (being New Year’s eve) and was attractively presented. The staff were pleased to offer wine pairing suggestions when asked. The dishes themselves seemed to be well-prepared with high quality ingredients and were very tasty. In terms of price, this was affixed menu and compared favourably with many other NYE menus for other restaurants that we looked at. Although not inexpensive, the menu was not exorbitant either and we felt it was good value for money given our experience of the restaurant."

"Excellent restaurant! Even though it was very busy and the amount of staff was limited we did not have to wait long for our food and drinks. The waiter also remained calm and friendly the entire evening. The highlight, however, was the food. We had the ravioli from vegetables as a starter and the tartare and lamb as main dishes. All the dishes had a lot of flavour and were well prepared. Also, the wine was great! Overall a very great place to eat and I recommend it highly."
